Hi, I’m Meg (Daja’s daughter) , I will be writing a post at the end of every end of the month.  So…I will tell you ten things you should know about having a foodie mom.

10.You know if you like a food or not by experience.

9. You can say which you prefer, kidneys or liver in your chili.

8.If your dad takes you out to get ice creme from a junk food place and you tell your mom, all she says is,”Go brush your teeth.”

7. When people ask you what kind of food you eat you say,”From one end of the world to the other.”

6.You learned to read by checking labels.

5.You can’t decide your favorite food.

4. Your mom is always ready with a natural solution to your sickness or allergies.

3. You see pumpkins around the house for half a year.

2. You identify what is artificially flavored by saying, “Is this beaver butt?”

1. You need to learn to like things, even when you know what your mom made is still alive.

    Love it! Meg, you are a witty writer. Your family sure has a strange sense of humor to say “beaver butt”. I am not surprised 🙂 I especially like your last comment about what you eat as being “still alive”. My jar sits in another room as I find it hard to look at it all day. I am going to enjoy your posts. Thank you.

    These are cute!
    What is the last item?
    I would go for meatless chili! Liver, yikes! Kidney, yuck!

    Meg: I like liver more. I don’t really like it, but I choose it over kidneys.

    That item is Kombucha with a SCOBY in it. It’s like a fermented tea.
