10 Day Give: DAY FIVE

October 5, 2013

Congratulations to yesterday’s winner:

Nurina!  You’ve won a copy of our ebook

You know, there are a few things that I can definitely count on every single day. There will be eight children and a husband to feed. There will be dishes. There will be laundry. At least Monday through Friday there will be academic lessons to teach. The spiritual lessons don’t take any days off.

The great challenge of life is to enjoy the dailiness. To enjoy one’s labor–to enjoy mothering itself–is a great blessing. From the hand of God.

Imagine that. The grace to enjoy the sandwich making and math paper correcting comes from the hand of God. The grace to see the eternity in a pot of soup and in wiping down the counters is something that must come from the Lord. That grace is also yours for the asking.

Grace and Glory For Moms

Today we are giving away a copy of our devotional for moms: GRACE AND GLORY!  A month’s worth of inspiration.  Like having a cup of tea and biscuits for your spirit.  Soothing, encouraging and uplifting.

To enter to win, just leave a comment on this blog post.  We’ll randomly select a winner.

We are sweetening the deal!  We will give a copy away to EVERYONE who leaves a comment!

And we’ll leave you with this from GK Chesterton: “How can it be a large career to tell other people’s children about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one’s own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone, and narrow to be everything to someone? No; a woman’s function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute. I will pity Mrs. Jones for the hugeness of her task; I will never pity her for its smallness.”

Thank you! I am going to enjoy this devotional as I do your other ebooks 🙂 A little comment on motherhood: Only salvation in Jesus Christ has changed me more profoundly. I love being a mom!
