December Goals

December 5, 2012

Christmas Tree Johanssen

Can you believe the holiday season is upon us?!?!  Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent, tomorrow is the Feast of Saint Nicholas, Friday at sunset begins Chanukah, and then there is Christmas!  A time for joy, love and togetherness.  A time to look at the goodness of God and rejoice!

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

To experience this beautiful season “intentionally,” we are going to do something a little different here in the Provision Room.  Our goals are going to look different.

Baby Step:

1.  Continue doubling two meals a week so that our freezer stores continue to grow.

Big Girl Steps:

1.  Spend time in quiet contemplation of God.  Carve out time to sit with the One who has given us all good things and loved us each enough to send His Son.

2.  Only do those things that bring you joy, peace and togetherness with the ones you love.

You will probably notice a few less posts in your in box from Daja and me.  We are going to practice what we preach and take this time to be with our families.  When January rolls around we’ll be back to our writing, bringing you renewed encouragement and fresh ideas to…

“Always Be Prepared For Life’s Little Happenings.”
